The Goodness of God!!!

O taste and see that the Lord [our God] is good; How blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who takes refuge in Him. O [reverently] fear the Lord , you His saints (believers, holy ones); For to those who fear Him there is no want.
PSALMS 34:8‭-‬9 AMP

Since last Saturday, i have not been able to put my spirit to rest since i seem not to stop rehearsing and meditating on the goodness of God.

Saturday as i went to lead worship in one of the local churches in Johannesburg/SA, i engaged in a conversation with a friend about how hard it is to testify of God’s goodness to the people of the world if your life itself has nothing to show for it. Make no mistake, we did not doubt of the goodness of God, we didn’t proclaim that it is pointless to trust in God while our lives have nothing to testify of his goodness. We were just deeply discussing of how we have given so much to God over the years, only for us to still be in a position where we have nothing to show for everything we have sacrificed for God.

But as we spoke throughout the entire evening, one thing that was always greater and stronger then our fears, is our Conviction. There was a big giant of unbelief standing in front of us who was not, by any means possible, able to take down our conviction. And the conviction is that No matter what our lives looked like, we know for sure that God is truly who he says He is, God is good all the times, even if we have not experienced his goodness in the way we would have loved to, He is still God and his goodness trenscends through generations. In Him there’s no darkness, no shadow of turning, He is God and He is Good wether our lives have something to show for it or not. And From there on, after raising all these questions in our minds, we still went onto wholeheartedly Praising and worshipping God that entire evening, allowing him to spread his goodness once more over our lives.

This article is for you who have spent years loving the Lord, wholeheartedly serving him, relentlessly sacrificing your everything for him, laying your life down for his kingdom… And still your life has nothing to show for it!!! Oh my dear friend, taste and see that the Lord is good… Check carefully into your life there is definitely something that testifies of God’s goodness. We might not be able to recognize the goodness of God just because it didn’t come the way we expected, planned, and prayed for it to come but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t fruits of God’s goodness in our lives, there certainly is.

There might be certain areas of your life where you are still waiting to experience His goodness, then instead of doubting of His Goodness, start prophesying the GOODNESS of God in those areas… Wether in your finances, your career, your marriage, your ministry, your dreams, just confess and declare of God’s goodness, and in due time there will be an overflow of that goodness, more than you can carry, and more than you can handle.

Now i would like for you to confess the below scripture with me:

“How great is Your goodness, Which You have stored up for those who [reverently] fear You, Which You have prepared for those who take refuge in You, Before the sons of man! In the secret place of Your presence You hide them from the plots and conspiracies of man; You keep them secretly in a shelter (pavilion) from the strife of tongues.”

God is good all the times.

See, fall, receive…

By Samuel Divine

Revelation 1: 17-18 “And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying to me, ‘Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, amen. And I have the keys of Hades.’”

It is very vital for us to clearly notice that in this portion of scripture, three words that are key to depict one of the secrets that worship unveils to us: “Saw, fell, and saying”. Here John engage in worship by the means of three actions that might possibly change the course of somebody’s worship life today.

1. We worship on the basis of what we see with our spiritual eyes:

We cannot say that we are worshipping God without having a picture of his Holiness, glory, power, truth, majesty, and righteousness in our spirits; it simply means that every single word that we say is absolutely meaningless without some kind of divine spiritual value attributed to it by the means of what we perceive with our inner man. Our words and our songs are only as powerful as what we see in our spirit when engaging in this action called worship. The weight of our words and our songs is determined by the depth of what we see in our spirits about God.

Now I have come to understand why in our worship services we are struggling so much to have people that are fully engaging in worship, some come as spectators and some come as worshippers and yet we all claim to have been in the presence of God. The difference between the two kinds of people is nothing more than what we all see with our spiritual eyes. So today before you engage in a moment of worship, ask yourself, what you do see about this God that we so much talk about? Because your worship can only be as deep and as clear as what your spirit sees about him. What you see easily influences the nature of your worship
You might probably be wondering why is it so important to see something that will influence your worship. Simply because the depth and greatness of what you see and perceive in your spirit, determines your attitude and the way you hold yourself before the king. After john saw, what he saw caused him to the most vulnerable position of worship: “He fell on his knees as dead”.

2.What we see causes us to take a position in worship that determines how much value and respect we give to what our spirits perceives about God:

This week God told me that the reason why many people are so lackadaisical (Not so interested) in worship is simply because what they see about him is as good as nothing, that’s why it’s easy for some of us to seat while the worship is going through. It simply explains that what your spirit perceives about God is not good enough to cause within you an attitude of respect, fear, and reverence towards the person of Jesus Christ. Just like John, when you have seen God come through in your life, and when you have experienced his glory, and your spirit can see him in the splendor of his majesty; your spirit will have no other choice than to cause the rest of the body to respond with an attitude of reverence to that which has impacted it.
And when your body starts responding with an attitude of reverence and vulnerability toward the image of the king, this is where the real magic start happening in worship, which leads us to the third point.

3. The king begins to speak to you, touching you and revealing himself unto you so that you may know him more to worship him better:

At this point the power of your worship and the truth about God lies in the revelation you have about him. Right at this point, things that were not making sense start falling into place as the keys of life are being unleashed unto you; You shift from the natural into the supernatural and the revelation you receive from the king totally influences, empowers, and transforms your daily life and routine making you a all divine person.

Daniel 11:32b clearly says “…But the people who know their God, shall be strong and carry out great exploit.” This scripture is very clear in that it says that the key to a supernatural life is only based on how deep is our “personal” knowledge of the king is.
And we just learned, this knowledge and the revelation of who God is only comes by the means of worship which start by what we perceive in our spirit about him and what he can do when we genuinely engage in worship with an attitude of humility and reverence.

Prayer: “Lord i no longer wanna offer empty worship every time i approach you. I now understand that all my words and songs mean absolutely nothing without the spiritual value that lies in what my spirit sees about you. Therefore i pray that you may open the eyes of my heart so i can see you just like john did, then i can know you more and worship you better. As you reveal yourself to me, you take me into new heights where i can approach life from your perspective, and live supernaturally… Open the eyes of my heart Lord, i want to see you. Amen.”

Happy Life through Devotion to Christ.

We really need to be intentional about devoting ourselves to God.

Truth is… The world will always give us something new to worry about. The universal system that we live in will continuously give us something to preoccupy our minds and daily routine. It will never stop, it will go on and on until we have spent our last breath trying to survive. But let us reason together about this. is this really the plan of God for our daily lives? That we will allow the system of this world to suck the day light out of our very being? That we will continually wander all over trying to make a living in this world?

Just thinking about that… sickens my heart!

God did not create us to be enslaved and bound to a certain system that causes us to be lost in a certain routine that separates us from him. In fact, it was never meant to be. Man was created to enjoy life to the fullest and be fulfilled.

I will tell you where we all went wrong, where we all missed it, and where we have fallen short. And i pray that as we get to unveil this truth, it shall set us free, uplifts, and shifts us into a new dimension of life where we freely enjoy life as it was originally intended for us to be lived by the father.

Colossians 1: 16 “For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him”

1 Corinthians 8:6
yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we exist. And there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we exist.

John 1:3
Through Him all things were made, and without Him nothing was made that has been made

Nehemiah 9:6
“You alone are the LORD. You have made the heavens, The heaven of heavens with all their host, The earth and all that is on it, The seas and all that is in them. You give life to all of them And the heavenly host bows down before You.

Just take a moment to read the above scriptures thoroughly. Your spirit will start developing a pattern and i am hereby trying to unlock that pattern at the best of my abilities!

Every single thing on earth, whether dead or alive (Systems, activities, circles, routines…), was made by, through, and for Christ. The above scriptures are very clear about it. He is the one through whom the world we live in was brought into being. No one knows better the functions of a product than the manufacturer himself. The problem with the human race today is that we are trying to understand and manage a system that we did not create, instead of running back to the creator for wisdom and understanding. We are successfully failing in this life on earth, and lack that deep sense of fulfillment for one reason: “We have excluded the creator from the creation he has entrusted us with”, thinking that we have it all figured out and will manage without him.

In the first Chapter of second Chronicles, the Bible teaches us about Salomon who has taken over his father’s kingship and now finds himself facing a numerous people that he needs to manage. Looking at his own human abilities, he eventually knew that he was not gonna succeed in his task as a king. Although these people were under his kingship, they were not his, these were God’s people given to him, a kingdom that God entrusted him with. And he knew that if both the kingdom and the people where initially God’s, then the one and only better way to deal with those would be to gain wisdom and understanding from the creator himself; wisdom being Jesus Christ and Understanding the Holy Spirit. And therefrom he had the most successful kingship in the entire story of Israel kings.

We have to be intentional about not running after the things God created, and run after the God who created all things. It is only by doing so that life will have meaning and everything will start making sense.

Now we can really understand what Jesus meant by Saying “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew 6: 33)

What Jesus meant by “All these things” is “the things that he created and that are fully made available for/to us through him and him alone”. We have to be eager about pursuing Jesus wholeheartedly because only through him will we find means to a happy living in this beautiful world that he created.

Acts 17: 28 “For in him we live and move and have our being.”…

So today as you listen to the father, hear him say “Come back to me… come back”.

Smile my friends…You have Jesus!!! Be happy.

Yours faithfully

Samuel Divin.

It has come to my attention that, for many people, worship starts with their preferences and desires, it is all about what makes them feel good and pushes them to engage in intimacy with God; they need to be stimulated into worshiping God…If they don’t feel good about themselves, they will not worship God.

So many times i have been witness of people’s complains about the worship service; what they like and what they did not appreciate, what need to be improved and other many things that get them distracted in the worship service…and at the end of everything, they make it all about them.

Then i started thinking to Myself, is worship about us or about God? We have turned this all worship thing into something that it was not meant to be in the first place.

worship-hands copy

when worship begins with our wants and our desires, it will never rise to the glory of God.

The Human heart was designed to long for God, it was made with an unbearable desire to be in God’s presence but because that desire requires sacrifice to long for invisible God in a physical world, we end up filling that desire with negative addictions such as drugs, pornography, alcohol, sex, and social media reverence, which is not God’s desire for us. Worship does not start with with our wants of personal satisfaction, and desires for a particular style of Music or a specific worship leader, otherwise it will not rise to the glory of God. When worship begins with our preferences, then it all becomes about us and not about God…and at this specific moment, God steps out and does not meet us right at the point of our needs. Worship does not begin with us…worship begins with God. God is pursuing worshipers, he arranges the circumstances of life to draw us back to him, so that we would realize that we need him and him alone. God creates situations that troubles our souls and create a need in us just so that we would realize that he is all we need, he create a longing in us that nothing in this world would be able to fill, but he. Until you understand the treasure of God you will never worship him. Because worship starts with God, you therefore need to tap in the truth of who God is, because that truth is the only thing that stimulates us to lay everything we know down at his feet and worship him for who he really is. If you wanna be a true worshiper, then you need to point at the truth of who God is and knowing all of his glory and Majesty, when that truth becomes real into us, we can’t help it but pour out who we are and weep at his feet because what we would have experienced in the truth of God is unfathomable.
